Green Monkey Shake
This is one my favorite go-to shakes! The spinach and banana add an extra serving of fruits and veggies and it tastes delicious! Spinach definitely packs a punch when it comes to nutrition. The leafy green is an excellent source of vitamin K, vitamin C, and folate. Spinach also contains iron which is great for a tired momma - iron is key to helping red blood cells function, which carry oxygen around the body (oxygen is good for your body and for energy!) Bananas are good for helping with muscle cramps due to their level of potassium and magnesium. Now you know why they always have bananas at a 5k race!
Green Monkey Shake
One scoop of Kona Mocha Baby Booster
8oz of milk or milk product
One banana
One handful of spinach
3-5 ice cubes
Blend in the blender until smooth and enjoy!
